The reformist Marshall Liberal Government has decided to implement massive reforms to the arrangements for media access to their technology during the State Budget media lock-up.
Treasurer Rob Lucas has decided to allow all those attending Tuesday’s budget media lock up access to their mobile phones, tablets and Wi-Fi during the lock-up to assist in their preparation and work-flow.
The media is reminded any publication, broadcast or release of any budget-related information or opinion is under STRICT EMBARGO until 3pm ACST on Tuesday, September 4.
In what some critics have described as a ‘courageous’ decision, Mr Lucas has decided to rely on the honesty of working media in SA.
“Any member of the media who breaches the embargo will be tied up in stocks in Victoria Square and made to listen to endless recordings of the Budget Speech whilst being pelted with tomatoes by members of the public!” said Mr Lucas.
